The Cult's "For the Animals" Is Our Music Video of the Day

Gary Pini

UK post-punk veterans The Cult are back with a new everything: tour, album, single and this video directed by Michelle Peerali and starring Hannah Mosqueda. The bands's Ian Astbury told Guitar World that the video "is for free-thinkers" but, thinking as freely as we can, we still don't get it. After Hannah receives four black rocks on the subway (or the people-mover or whatever they call it out in LA) she heads home to feed the cat and watch TV.  Then she applies warpaint and goes off to an abandoned warehouse to toss Molotov cocktails at a flaming logo. At least they can still come up with a killer song. The Cult's ninth studio album, Choice of Weapon, is out on May 22.
