THE BUSY WORLD IS HUSHED
In a new play by Keith Bunin (The Credeaux Canvas), the popular Christine Lahti, star of stage, screen and TV (Landscape of the Body, Swing Shift and Chicago Hope, respectively), plays Hannah, a minister and Bible scholar whose faith is challenged by her estranged, wayward son. A young writer, hired to assist Hannah in her work, does some personal research that opens the door for possible mother-son reconciliation. Mark Brokaw (How I Learned to Drive) directs.
Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater, 416 W. 42nd St., (212) 279-4200. Previews start May 26. Opens June 20.
