The Americans' "Requiem" Is Our Music Video of the Day

Gary Pini

Charlie Klarsfeld's band The Americans is set to release another EP in November and he enlisted Jordan Galland (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead) to shoot this video for the song "Requiem."  It was "inspired" by the 1971 black comedy Harold and Maude by Hal Ashby about a boy obsessed with death, so watch out for lots of blood and gore.  Klarsfeld also enlisted Sean Lennon to produce the song and he gets a cameo in the video and sings a little back-up vocals. That's the pool in Le Bain at the New York Standard Hotel near the end and it looks like either The Jane or The Bowery Hotel earlier (if you're a location-spotter).
