This week Alice met up for a buttery pastry breakfast with Naomi Shimada. The Tokyo-born model is also a member of the artist group PET Collective and works at Page She. Over expresso machine scrambled eggs on flaky fresh croissant at the Victorian-style Korean café Round K, Shimada and Alice discussed the ever-shifting standards for fashion models, and whether we would ever see more relatable, "normal" women in fashion ads. As Shimada says, "If you sell the clothes in the store, why you can't shoot the girls for the magazine?"
