Finally, a twisty psychological thriller with an all-star cast (Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, Ryan Gosling), directed by an A-list director (Finding Neverland's Marc Forster), that doesn't make a lick of sense. Though the end eventually sorts out all you've seen, by then you'll be too irritated to care. McGregor plays a psychiatrist whose new patient (Ryan Gosling) is a suicidal art student who plans to kill himself in exactly three days at midnight. While McGregor races around trying desperately to save his patient, things keep getting weirder and weirder. Forster uses every editing and filming trick to keep the audience off balance, but in the end, it's more annoying than mysterious.
