If you're on the prowl for chic getup by fashion's brightest rising stars, look no further than Bellhaus. The posh multi-label boutique for women and men carries a superb selection, with the likes of Rodarte, Brian Reyes, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Sophie Theallet and Raf Simons. Owner Shawn Bell is focused on clothing that is fresh-looking yet wearable -- and of the finest quality.
Bellhaus got its start in East Hampton. After the clothing and lifestyle company built a loyal following of stylish clients, Bell decided the time was right to transition the business to Manhattan full-time. With new digs at the über-hip East-Village-SoHo vortex of Bond Street and Bowery, Bellhaus will continue to lure a cool crowd with expensive taste. The store is airy and neat, but definitely not fussy. Bellhaus lets the clothing speak for themselves with an uncluttered setup to feature its impressive stock, which includes a dazzling Rodarte cocktail dress in silver and black, a dangerous sculpted black leather minidress by DSquared, ruffly designs by Brian Reyes, delicious handmade cashmere knits from Hania by Anya Cole, and bold patterned vintage gowns from Mary McFadden and Bill Blass. Finish any day or night look with fabulous heels by Chrissie Morris and La Rare, carry-all bags by Carlos Falchi, and statement jewels by Erickson Beamon. For the men, Bellhaus carries silk-screened knits by world-renowned tattoo artist Horiyoshi III, denim and weathered leathers by Jean Shop, sharp trenches and shoes by Raf Simons, the company's own nifty line called Bellhaus Bespoke (among others).
The store just opened and will amp its roster with more fashion darlings like Gareth Pugh and Giambattista Valli, footwear by Bruno Frisoni and Brian Atwood and an assortment of artisanal body products and perfumes.
