Selma Blair Provides Visibility for MS, Looks Stunning

On Sunday night, Selma Blair attended the legendary Vanity Fair Oscars Party in Beverly Hills. She wore a flowing, color-blocked dress by Ralph & Russo with a matching cape. Her blond hair was slicked back, her eye makeup smoky and dramatic. And she walked with a special, diamond-encrusted, cane, making the look all the more fabulous. It had a lot of swag!

The party marked Blair's first public appearance since revealing her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in October of last year. Blair has been open about what it is like to live with MS, which affects the brain and spinal cord and can lead to trouble with balance. She told press at the party that coming out took "a lot," but she chose to glam up a cane, having it customized with her monogram and a real pink diamond. "This is love," she wrote on Instagram.

She was also captured in a stunning portrait by Vanity Fair photographer Mark Seliger. "When my life flashes before my eyes," she wrote. "I want this portrait by @markseliger to be front and center."

Blair was widely praised for the choice to provide visibility for MS and those with disabilities around the globe. As she wrote when she first announced the diagnosis, "I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps," Blair wrote. "I am in the thick of it but I hope to give some hope to others."
