Scope Vintage Photos From Tod Papageorge's Studio 54

by Gabby Bess / Photography by Tod Papageorge
Take a look inside legendary nightclub Studio 54 through the opulent lens of Tod Papageorge. Between 1978 and 1980, the photographer patiently documented a black and white version of New York City, that now only exists through pictures and lamentations.

Now Studio 54 is a decadent book, out from Stanley/Barker, in addition to "a New York discothèque that, for a handful of years, was the place where celebrities, partygoers, and those crazy for dancing most wanted to be and be seen," Papageorge describes.
