Scenes from Galore's Girl Power Issue Launch Party

While strippers wearing pasties may not have measured up to Miley’s performance at Alexander Wang’s party earlier this fashion week, strippers in conjunction with a sex-tape art installation and a growing list of guest appearances certainly made Galore's party last night one of this season's most colorful -- and memorable -- parties. The night began as a relatively tame celebration of the mag’s Girl Power issue and the launch of Kitten -- an agency and marketing company for Galore’s favorite girls -- at the Diamond Horseshoe Theater, where Queen of the Night is hosted. But with free flowing champagne, Mia Moretti in the DJ booth, and Matt Starr’s projections on an eight-foot tall iPhone, things quickly escalated.

Despite fashion-y guests like Gigi Hadid and Ellen Von Unwerth Galore’s Prince Chenoa told us, “It’s a 'fuck fashion week' party. We just want to have fun.” Moretti chimed in, saying, “It’s not a fashion party. It’s not fashion people. There’s creativity and inspiration behind it.”

Downtown artists like Chloe Wise mixed with model Ashley Smith and the ATL Twins and around 1:00 AM, Joe Jonas took over DJing and soon thereafter Justin Bieber and Usher arrived. Once the Bieber-craze died down, the party culminated with a collaborative performance by Zolita and Starr. “After clearing the stage of dancers and strippers, Zolita sang and Starr projected various images and videos, including some of Alexis Neiers and a girl pleasuring herself, onto the giant iPhone in the center of the decadent room. "I literally downloaded gay porn for this at the Parsons library,” Starr told us.
