Does It Offend You, Yeah? (the name refers to a line from the British sitcom The Office) are a way-intense British electro-punk fourtet known for their raucous live shows. The blokes recently created quite a bit of buzz at South by Southwest just in time for the U.S. release You Have No Idea What Youâre Getting Yourself Into. This summer they embark on a U.S. tour with Bloc Party.
We usually begin drinking about two hours before we go onstage. About half a pint of rum, that about kicks us off. We tried once to do a gig sober, and it was rubbish! It was really odd. We were like, 'Let's not drink on this one, let's see if we can pull it off without drinking, it'll save us a lot of kidney problems.' So we did it and it was no good. And we were like, well, we have to drink every time now. Any band who puts on a real performance and says that they go onstage without being drunk, or on something else, are lying.
