Would you rather be trapped on a desolate mountaintop, mauled by a wild animal, or be accused of being Becky with the good hair? In the wake of Beyoncé's Lemonade, fashion designer Rachel Roy incurred the wrath, threats, and emoji-based terror tactics of the Bey Hive when she inadvertently implied she was Jay-Z's other woman. Similarly-named TV chef Rachael Ray caught a lot of fallout as well, because internet trolls don't Google things, and for a few days both of their social media accounts were relentlessly trolled.
Today, Rachael Ray revealed to US Weekly that during the Beckygate insanity, she sent her embattled similar-name-haver a big ole bottle of wine with a straw, while Roy sent Ray a bouquet of flowers. Which wine pairs well with a public shaming you might ask? "[I was going to send Roy] Brunello di Montalcino, where I was married, but I said for our office to ask her office if she drinks red and if she didn't drink red, to send Grande Dame." Classy, but a bottle of tequila, a bundle of sage and an application to the Witness Protection Program might have been more appropriate.
