Sean 'P Diddy' Combs keeps up his decades-long philanthropy streak by opening up a charter school in Manhattan's Harlem this fall.

Paired up with Capitol Preparatory Schools, the doors of Mr. Diddy's Capitol Preparatory Harlem Charter School will swing open at 1 East 104th Street; the endeavor hits home for Combs, who was born in Harlem, in a public housing project.

The school, already accepting applications, will begin with enrolling students from grades 6-7, before expanding to grades 6th through 12th.

P Diddy has already established an impressive roster of board members for the school, including Oprah's go-to spirit guide, Dr. Iyanla Vanzant, and Reverend Georgiette-Morgan Thomas.

In a press release, Diddy spoke on his hope for instilling the importance for education at a young age:

"I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders. The first step is offering access to a quality education."
