Pink Pledges $500K for Australia

This past week, the Australian bushfires have become an international environmental emergency that has popped up on practically everyone's radar. Many are sharing the devastating news to spread awareness, but pop singer Pink has taken things a step further by pledging a donation of $500,000 to the cause.

"I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires," the "Just Give Me a Reason" singer tweeted. "I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz."

The artist also included a photo, with links to the donation pages of all the local fire services currently doing their part in attempting to save the Australian forests and wildlife.

As reported by The Associated Press, the bushfires have been raging since September. The death toll as of today is at 23 people, and the damage has burned 5 million hectares of land and over 1,500 homes.
