Petra Collins Envisions LA as a Utopia for Women Artists in Short Film, Drive Time

by Gabby Bess

Although the great NYC blizzard of 2015 has turned out to be pretty tame, the sun-drenched landscape of LA in Petra Collins' short film Drive Time still seems like a welcome escape.

In honor of their just launched New York City flagship location, European fashion brand COS commissioned artists Aaron Rose and Petra Collins to direct short films celebrating the creative hubs of the American east and west coast: LA and NYC.

New York artist Petra Collins took on LA and the result is Drive Time, a short film in which she explores the city as a haven for female artists in the male-dominated art world. Watch the clip, above.
