All I want for X-mas this year is a couple of yards of golden material woven from the silk of over a million Golden Orb spiders from Madagascar. I want a pair of board shorts or at least a bow tie made from spider silk fabric! Too chic, no? Last night, Heather Graham hosted a party at The Museum of Natural History for two weavers, Simon Peers and Nicholas Godley, who are behind the exotic textile which took five years to make. At the party ogling the amazing textile were DJ Donna D'Cruz, Waris Ahulwalia, Daphne Zuniga, Coralie Charriol Paul, Antony Todd, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Colin Cowie, Lara Meiland Shaw, Phillip Bloch, Susan Shin, Carlos Souza, Nicole Miller, Tracy Stern, Eric Villency, Arden Wohl, Joel Warren and Lydia Fenet to name just a few. "This truly is a historical moment," Graham noted. "it took almost five years for this groundbreaking work of art, history, culture, fashion and even science to get here!"
