My new favorite men's label is Commonwealth Utilities, designed by Canadian Anthony Keegan, with his Aussie business partner Richard Christiansen, who started the fashion and marketing agency Chandelier Creative after running Colors Magazine in Italy. Keegan, who has worked for Versace and Armani, already counts Marc Jacobs as a fan. Commonwealth Utilites is available at Hollander & Lexer in Brooklyn and soon will open a free-standing store in the Bowery. The line is based around the perfect shirt but I'm totally mad for the oversize bow ties (named "The Brad," after Rachel Zoe's assistant and oft-sobbing reality TV hero Brad Goreski), the slim fit pea coat and the sublime tux jackets. I wear black tie to the supermarket and so should you.
