German artist G.H. Rothe may have died in 2007 being known primarily for her commercial mezzotints of landscapes and other mundane stuff, but a new exhibition of her more, ahem, NSFW pieces is hoping to change that.

Titled " Seven Paintings," the San Francisco-based show highlights Rothe's never-before-seen paintings depicting geriatric sexy time -- complete with lots of licking and blowjobs amongst all of the clots, veins and wrinkles. It's a truly gorgeous set of works that is refreshingly unforgiving in regards to the aging body, capturing the sensual intricacies of an activity that society rarely considers (and unfortunately stigmatizes), and highlights the reaffirming fact that sex (along with love, perhaps?) does not disappear with age. Peep at a few of the pieces below -- and prepare to be wow'd at the intimacy.
