Pedro Almodovar Honored By MoMA, Stars Galore and a Singing Bruce Weber

What a fun time I had last night at the Museum of Modern Art's film benefit and tribute to PAPER's wonderful friend Pedro Almodovar. And what a crowd turned out to honor the filmmaker. The glamor factor among attendees was through the roof Vogue and Chanel were the sponsors of the evening, which raised over a million bucks for the MoMA film program. I went with Pedro and the crew from his production company, El Deseo, which includes his brother/producer Agustín, his handsome partner Fernando Iglesias, his rock star of a boss-lady, Barbara Piero, and Lola Garcia. The fab Elena Anaya, the wonderful star of Pedro's new film, The Skin I Live In, the fabulous actress Rossy de Palma, hilarious Spanish director Félix Sabroso and Madrid designer Elena Benarroch. The night was packed with fun. Bruce Weber sang a song and Pedro teared up; Anna Wintour shook my hand; Alicia Keys performed; Karl Lagerfeld hung with Blake Lively, both Sarah Jessica Parker and Marina Abramovic introduced herself to me and John Waters posed for photos with everyone. Here are a few photos by Henny Garfunkel (whose signature big, black glasses were a hit).
