Who are you?
My name is Lenéa Sims aka Gooey Girl. I'm an energetic intuitive and coach, spiritual advisor, writer, and the self-proclaimed Queen of Doodads. I like to think of myself as a WOC Eckhart Tolle, Little Mermaid, and Carrie Bradshaw rolled into one 2019-approved package.
What do you do?
In a nutshell, I help people understand energies — how to recognize them, how to align with the good ones, how to eliminate the bad ones, how to harness them all to access your highest joy. I do this by making make metaphysical ideas into physical practices so instead of just retweeting a quote about "letting go," for example, you can actually manifest the energy of surrender with a creative activity or a ceremony or an energetic exercise. It's all about teaching people to be their own healers, their own gurus, and their highest selves. Tis dope and I feel blessed every day to do it.
What are you most proud of from 2018?
10000% the thing I feel most proud of is being invited to speak at SXSW. I got to talk about the spiritual side of self-care and teach an audience a bunch of energy exercises that had 'em looking like toddlers — I loved it!
What do you think will be your biggest challenge in 2019?
Finding a right hand who can help me grow my business. I have ENDLESS ideas for products and programs I want to develop this year (shout out to my very bossy Gemini moon) and need someone who doesn't become nauseated by spreadsheets to hold me down. Full faith that this person will show up very soon but hey, if you're out there, HMU.
What do you think will be your biggest opportunity in 2019?
Tapping into abundant energy. Energetically, abundance is big, pervasive, confident, and fulfilled with notes of sour cherries and oak. Jokes bout that last part. But really, abundant energy is something so many people are wanting to wake up to right now because it feels like Harvest time after what has been a very tough few years societally speaking. And I feel strongly that now is the time for us to open up to it and, once we do, life becomes nothing but an opportunity.
