Who are you?

My name is Mena Massoud. I was born in Egypt, grew up in Toronto and followed the sun to Los Angeles.

What do you do?

I'm an actor.

What are you most proud of from 2018?

I started a company called Evolving Vegan. We're trying to encourage people to evolve in the direction of plant-based living, little by little. Even if it's just by eating plant-based, one day out of the week. We traveled around North America, visited ten major cities, 50 restaurants and we will be publishing our first vegan lifestyle cookbook.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge in 2019?

I think for any artist your biggest challenge every year is continuing to nourish and expand your artistry. At least that's how I see it. No matter how "big" or "small" my career is in 2019, I think the challenge will be understanding it, nourishing and growing from it.

What do you think will be your biggest opportunity in 2019?

Well, Aladdin drops May 24 and Evolving Vegan's first book will publish this summer. Those two projects are incredibly important to me and I hope they serve as big opportunities.

Where can we follow you?

On Instagram and Twitter,@menamassoud. And if you want to follow my journey around North America eating some incredible food and meeting some rad people, @evolvingvegan on Instagram and IGTV.
