Who are you?

I am Timo Sassen, a 26-year-old queer creative with a big mouth and an even bigger heart. I was born and raised in Antwerp and currently flip-flopping in between Antwerp and New York. My favorite pop star is Britney, current favorite color hot pink, favorite flower is a tulip and I fuck with spicy food.

What do you do?

I am the creative director and founder of my brand timosassen. I am designing with my own community in mind, creating pieces as a protest against the censorship and gender norms placed upon us. I want my costumers to be themselves, feel sexy and be comfortable in any way they choose to dress.

What are you most proud of from 2018?

My overall growth. In 2018 I created and launched my first collection, I started my own business, sold my first pieces and got recognized for my hard work. Next to that I got super tight with my mom and met the man of my life. 2018 was just great!

What do you think will be your biggest challenge in 2019?

I am overall not that worried about my future, simply because I am very happy about where I'm at in life. Although, continuing to grow excitement and awareness for my brand might be something challenging I get to deal with in my years to come.

What do you think will be your biggest opportunity in 2019?

I must say being a part of this feature is a huge opportunity for me. By being exposed and gaining more viewers I get the opportunity to show more people across the world my upcoming work.

Where can we follow you?

All of my work, as well as my nudes you can find back on my personal Instagram account: @timosassen
