It's Halloween again, which means girding your loins (maybe literally), strapping on your best Miley Cyrus foam finger costume and preparing for up two weekends worth of hazy frolicking. As usual, PAPER has been keeping detailed records of all the hallows eve haunts and séances for your amusement. Our guide to Halloween in NYC, below.

The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black (and Costume After Party) at Bowery Electric
Horror punk performance artist and PAPER pal Kembra Pfahler, with her band, The Voluptuous Horror Of Karen Black, will be performing at the Bowery Electric along with No Bra and Youthquake. After the performances, The Hole will host a costume-filled after party.

Lost Icons at Hôtel Americano
In addition to a special three-course prix fixe menu at their rooftop restaurant, Artico, Hôtel Americano is hosting their Lost Icons costume party -- probably dominated by people wearing Marilyn Monroe costumes -- with music by DJ Angola.

Shouting at the Screen with Wyatt Cenac and Donwill
If you're in the mood for a little comedy and a lot of blaxploitation films, Shouting at the Screen will whet your appetite for both. Comedians Wyatt Cenac (of The Daily Show) and Donwill (of Tanya Morgan) will be your loud-mouthed hosts, guiding you through films like Black Shampoo and Blacula.

Holy Ghost! at Terminal 5
There are a whole lot of musical acts to get excited about at Terminal 5's Halloween show. Holy Ghost!, Joakim and Tiki Disco's Eli Escobar and Lloydski will be spinning as revelers make the space into one big, hours-long dance party.

Halloween at the Wythe Hotel
The Wythe Hotel is devoting two of its floors to a Halloween bash with record label Ghostly International. There will be live performances by special guests, sets from a roster of the label's DJs, along with video installations, Halloween cocktails, treats, and more.

Critical Halloween Art and Architecture Costume Competition
Mingle with the city's most influential designers, architects and artists at this Halloween party/benefit for Storefront for Art and Architecture. It will feature live music by Hess is More, an all-night open bar, and a costume contest whose theme is "Corporate Avant Garde."

Verboten's Halloween Costume Party
Verboten is taking over Sullivan Room for a down and dirty Halloween night costume party with Justin Martin, Tom Flynn and Huxley.

The Boom Boom Room and V Magazine Present: Mirror Mirror, Who's the Fairest?
Join V magazine up at the Boom Boom Room to ask yourself most important question of all: who's the fairest? The dress code is "Evil (Self) Reflections," so expect a lot of warped mirrors and beautiful people.

Tiki Zag Halloween at Le Bain
Hold on to your horses, Tiki Disco and Zig Zag are joining forces to celebrate Halloween this year. Expect heavy breathing, wild dancing and a lot of cute boys and skin-tight getups.

No. 8's "Old Time Traveling Freak Show"
Amy Sacco and No. 8 will be hosting their usual "Old Time Traveling Freak Show" to celebrate Halloween. Let your freak flag fly and come early to get in on the open bar action. UPDATE: the party will actually continue into Friday and Saturday, so you've got many opportunities to join the festivities.

Gayletter's Interracial Halloween Extravaganza
After a long break, Gayletter's interracial party is bag. In addition to cute boys galore, Max Ryder will be hosting and AndrewAndrew will be DJing. In other words: the whole thing will be a very PAPER affair.

Boo Bitch! at XL
DJ/Producer Jonathan Peters is coming back for this huge, speaker-breaking bash at XL nightclub. Come in a revealing costume and prepare to see a whole bunch of very ripped zombies.

Halloween at Pravda
Nightlife Award Nominee Travis Bass will be celebrating Halloween with an intergalactic party at Pravda. The theme is "cosmic galaxy" and Motorolla is offering free Halloween make-overs complete with customized costumes and makeup.

Haunted Hop Halloween Mix at Secret Project Robot
Jonathan Toubin and Alana Amram are joining forces again for their annual "Haunted Hop" Halloween bash. The earlier part of the night will find NYC-based rockers covering their favorite bands, followed by a dance party full of Halloween-themed tracks.
Secret Project Robot Room, 389 Melrose St., Brooklyn. Thursday, October 31st, 8pm-4am. $5 in costume. 

Bushwig: Tears of a Clown
Bushwig, the festival celebrating the Buswick drag scene, will be returning to Secret Project Robot to get spooky scary. Tears of a Clown is all ages and will include performances by PAPER-approved queens Horrorchata, Jake, Cherri Baum, Merrie Cherry, Macy Rodman, Amber Alert and Lady Simon, as well as DJ sets by Nightlife Award nominee Trey La Trash and Cartel.
