Occupy Wall Street's NYC May Day Schedule

Gary Pini

Tomorrow is May Day, or International Workers Day, which has long been a day of protest for union labor groups and workers' rights organizations. Occupy Wall Street's using the day to revive their movement, calling for a nationwide strike in which students and workers take the day off to protest. They're also encouraging people not to buy anything in a move called "A Day Without the 99 Percent." Here's Occupy Wall Street's "full schedule of permitted and unpermitted May Day 2012 actions." (We've also copied the list with times and locations below). Plans includes 99 picket lines through out midtown Manhattan, marches and rallies. There are also performances scheduled in Union Square from Tom Morello, Dan Deacon, Immortal Technique, Das Racist, and Bobby Sanabria. JD Samson & MEN will be performing at 7 p.m. at 2 Broadway as well.
