Night Vision: Snoop Dogg at Brooklyn Bowl

Liz Brown

Welcome to Night Vision, a new PAPERMAG blog in which we shoot the lovely faces of anyone who catches our eye when we're out and about. Above, we take look at some of the lucky ducks who got into Snoop Dogg's very sold out at Brooklyn Bowl last night. Or, rather, very early this morning. Snoop waited until after midnight to take the stage, but delivered a set full of hits including "Murder Was the Case," "Next Episode", "P.I.M.P" and "Gin & Juice" to the screaming crowd. Apparently we aren't used to having a West Coast legend in the house. He did stop for a moment of silence, however, to pay tribute to peace, love and weed smoke and to remember fallen legends 2-Pac and Notorious B.I.G. (He covered "Hail Mary" and "Hypnotize"). There were also helpful tips on how to start your morning: "The first most important thing to do when you wake up in the morning is to brush your teeth. The second most important thing to do when you wake up in the morning is to thank God that you made it to see another day... and the third most important thing to do.. when you wake up in the morning is to smoke weed motherfuckaaaaaaas!" Snoop also threw in some newer tracks and mash-ups including "I Wanna Fuck You" (Akon) and "Blows My Mind" (The Neptunes) before wrapping up the night with the classic "What's My Name?" As if we'd ever forget it.
