Missoni Staged Runway Show at a Giant Public Pool

For Spring 2020, Missoni held its runway show at a giant public pool in Milan, making it one of the most captivating sets of the week in the Italian fashion capital. Creative Director Angela Missoni stayed true to the brand's roots, with an emphasis on colorful striped knitwear once again taking hold, albeit with even more design elements added for good measure. Patchworks, crochet, polka dots — no detail was left spared. Here's everything else you need to know about the co-ed collection.

Blurred Lines

Stripes were anything but basic. Multicolored lines in zigzags, bold horizontal stripes, diagonal shapes and windowpane checks all converged to create a flurry of graphic lines.

Flower Power

Floral prints were micro-sizes, abstract, multicolored, setting off an abundance of floral experimentation for the Italian brand.

Sheer Knits

Elongated dresses, clingy tops and flowy tunics in see-through mesh created the perfect scenario for smart layering.

Taking a Dip

Swimsuits in a myriad of colors and styles, including one-pieces and bikinis came with cover-ups and flourishes.

Patchwork Proper

Humble patchwork prints in crafty colors and busy patterns took form in flowy skirts and maxi dresses.
