At a SXSW show at Spotify House yesterday, Miguel decided to mix his set up by including Rihanna's "Kiss It Better," from
ANTI. The only problem? He didn't super know the lyrics. (Thank god for smart phones, right?) Despite having to sing it off a tiny screen, Miguel and audience both seemed to be having a good time.
Really, Miguel seems to really enjoy singing other people's music. Just a week ago at Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival he
teamed up with Win Butler to cover "Hotline Bling." He and Rihanna got together for the Temptation's "My Girl" during a party in LA. The Grammys saw Miguel do Michael, performing "She's Out of My Life," while another small show got a tribute to David Bowie with an acoustic take on "Space Oddity." But lest you get the wrong impression, Miguel is also happy to have other people sing his music. His latest EP, Rogue Waves, is just other artists' take on his track "Waves." This just all goes to show, Miguel would be the best person to take to karaoke.
