"Our Hidden Futures" is the overall theme for this year's AB/MB film program. Over 50 films and videos will be screened on the giant projection wall outside of the New World Center (500 17th Street, South Beach), plus over 80 more can be accessed in the convention center film library. The Colony Theater (1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach) will be showing director James Crump's "Troublemakers: The Story of Land Art" on Friday, December 4, 8:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion with Crump and Basel film curator Marian Masone. The evening screenings in SoundScape Park include short films with program themes ranging from "Speak Easy" to "Vanishing Point."


TUMBLR's 4th annual Basel brunch, this year honoring Pioneer Works founder and artist Dustin Yellin, is at the Standard (40 Island Avenue, South Beach) on Friday, December 4. Over the last few years, they've spotlighted artists including Marina Abramovic, Daniel Arsham & Jonah Bokaer and Jose Parla.

The Outnet and The Zoe Report open an exhibition of original art curated by TAPPAN at the W South Beach on Friday afternoon. Music by Thomas Jack and drinks by Franciacorta.


Russell and Danny Simmons, along with Rosario Dawson, host their 6th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series finale party on December 4, on the beach behing the Nautilus Hotel. Expected guests include Ciara, TK Wonder, Cipriana Quann and Patrick Janelle. The winners, selected from 12 national finalists, will be announced on the night.
Joshua Liner Gallery curated a pop-up "Kith Homage" exhibition hosted by Ronnie Fieg's KITH, featuring artists including Greg Lamarche, David Ellis, Jim Houser, Wayne White and many more. Check it out on at a signing party for the label's first book - written by Fieg - on Friday, December 4, noon to 2 p.m., along with the debut of their latest collab with ASICS. Jack Shainman's annual party - this year in collaboration with Saint Heron - is Friday, December 4th, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., at the Surfcomber (1717 Collins Avenue, South Beach). The theme is "Wine and Grind" so dress accordingly. Invite only.

Loew's Miami Beach Hotel (1601 Collins Avenue,South Beach) hosts their second "Body, Art & Movement" event with exhale South Beach on Friday, December 4, 10 a.m. to noon. Along with a special yoga class and DJ, there will be live painting by Jeremy Penn, the hotel's first artist in residence. Check out Penn's work around the hotel all week.

SURFACE magazine's "closing" party, celebrating their week-long AB/MB events, is on Friday at the W South Beach. Hosts for the night are Alex Isreal, Bret Easton Ellis, Marc Lottenberg, Bettina Korek and Hans Ulrich Obrist.

Ed. Varie has a one-day-only performance by Alva Calymayor and Jen Dunlap called "Las Curanderas Oasis" offering "healing energy sessions" Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Island Cabana at the Fontainebleau.


Libertine, one of the new clubs in downtown Miami's 24-hour party district, hosts a release party for Nakid Magazine's (http://nakidmagazine.com/) latest issue and their cover artist Jen Stark on Friday night, December 4th. Stark recently collab'ed with Miley Cyrus on MTV's VMA Awards and has a new installation at Miami International Airport.


Norway's Munch Museum hosts a cocktail reception to announce the inaugural winner of The Edward Munch Art Award on Friday, December 4, 8 to 10 p.m., in the Shelborne Wyndham Grand Hotel (1801 Collins Avenue, South Beach). RSVP required. The event is co-hosted by the Royal Norwegian General Consulate of New York and the Office of Contemporary Art Norway.

Whitewall & Galerie Perrotin host a private reception and screening of a new short film by JR called "ELLIS" on Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at The Eden Roc Hotel (4525 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach). The film was written by Eric Roth and stars Robert De Niro.

Canadian artist CORNO opens her first Miami exhibition on Friday, 7:30 p.m., at Markowicz Fine Art Gallery (110 NE 40th Street, Miami).
There's a "Chopped" art party at the Standard on Friday, 9 p.m. to midnight, hosted by the hotel and Bruce High Quality Foundation, Alice & Olivia and Perrier.


The Freehand Miami (2727 Indian Creek, Miami Beach) -- and their hip restaurant "27" -- host several parties during the week including a #wellcurated party on Friday from noon to 6 p.m. with Nick Monaco, Coco Disco and art by Dreye + Fishe; a Wild Belle DJ set on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Broken Shaker; and an Apt. 200 pop-up with Saintwoods, WRC, Hannah Sider and friends on December 3rd.

Miami's "art hotel" The Sagamore 1671 Collins Avenue, South Beach) has a new installation by environmental/landscape sculptor Alan Sonfist on view all week, along with their incredible Cricket Taplin Collection of contemporary art. The hotel's annual VIP brunch -- featuring a new Electronic Arts Intermix installation -- is on Saturday, December 5th, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Corona brings their "Electric Beach" to the Clevelander Hotel (1020 Ocean Drive, South Beach) on December 5th, 3 to 8 p.m., with a live performance by Chilean artist DASIC, and music from Craze, Astronomar, Ape Drums and TJ Mizell.


Two young London-based artists, Walter & Zoniel, will set up a large, hand-built camera in the Delano Hotel (1685 Collins Avenue, South Beach) from December 2nd to the 5th for a performance piece called "Alpha-Ation." They'll be creating exclusive, hand-colored portraits of "high-profile" figures all week and have already shot Lindsay Lohan and Tinie Tempah. The work is presented by the UK gallery Gazelli Art House. There's an invite-only reception with the artists at the Delano tonight, December 5th.

L.A. painter and installation artist Lisa Solberg will preview her latest project, "Mister Lee's Shangri-La," at Soho Beach House (4385 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach) on Saturday, December 5th. The work -- "an immersive exotic dance club sheltered inside a greenhouse" -- will then be on view at MAMA Gallery(1242 Palmetto Street, Los Angeles) in L.A. as of December 19th.


The Wall nightclub in the W Hotel (2201 Collins Avenue, South Beach) has a full week of parties and events planned including a benefit for Miami Children's Hospital featuring an auction of a new work by Spanish-American artist Domingo Zapata at 9 p.m. on Saturday, sponsored by Gran Centenario Tequila.


Adidas Skateboarding launches their "Traplord X Adi-ease" colllab collection with A$AP Ferg -- featuring an exhibition of photos by Brock Fetch and A$AP Ferg -- on December 5th.

The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at FIU (10975 SW 17th Street. Miami) will have 5 exhibitions featuring 4 Miami-based artists: Carola Braco, Rufina Santana, Carlos Estevez and Ramon Espantaleon. Plus there will be a show called "Walls of Color" with murals by the post-war, NY artist Hans Hofmam and, this year, the annual "Breakfast in the Park" on Sunday, December 6th, 9:30 a.m. to noon, honors American sculptor Alice Aycock.
