With the election coming to a close, we're hoping it'll be a while before we ever hear the word "maverick" again. But in the recently opened Broadway revival of Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet, the M-word is said about three times, each time getting a laugh from the audience and it seemed almost from the actors themselves. Starring Jeremy Piven and the new it-girl Elisabeth Moss from AMC's Mad Men, the show is funny in its own right, but hopefully the maverick lines will still get laughs on Wednesday. Who knew the word would be so popular when Mamet wrote the play 20 years ago?
