Classic Americana through the lens of Matthew Adams Dolan somehow feels fresh. For Fall '18, the New York-based designer focused on that transitional phase from post-college to pre-adulthood, reimagining everyday business silhouettes with a youthful edge.

This, in part, was accomplished through Dolan's perfectly unexpected tailoring: Plaid blazers were dramatically cinched at the waist and finished with bulbous sleeves; chunky knit sweaters were cropped and the sleeves elongated; trousers were extra baggy and shirts featured extra large collars.

In order to twist timeless style, Dolan heavily researched one of America's most iconic style stars: Jackie Kennedy. He studied up on '60s couture, and the colors that Jackie O often wore, from Kelly green to fuchsia and cobalt. Her famous double-breasted jacket also made appearances throughout Dolan's collection — a successful revival, indeed.
