Market Watch: Tia Cibani of Ports 1961 Loves the Kids

Baby Gap and The Children's Place are fine options -- if your only requirement is inexpensive seperates for your kids. But if you are a parent on the market for slightly more fashion-forward knitwear, apparel and accessories, then check out Kicokids. The stylish chidrens line was launched by Tia Cibani of Ports 1961 and features a range of shoes, dresses and coats for tots that are so cute, you'll wish they made them in your size. The clothes are primarily sold online, but for the next few months Cibani has opened a pop-up store in the Chelsea Market Building, complete with a children's art gallery and an activity corner in the back where kids can amuse themselves while parents shop. (Make sure you check out the Barack Obama and John McCain carved pumpkins, below, which are on dispay for October.) To celebrate the new space Cibani recently invited parents and their kids for brownies, cookies and milk. It was hard to tell who was having more fun.
