Last week, Paper and the amazing Detroit watch, bicycle and leather-goods brand Shinola hosted a talk led by Red Rooster's Marcus Samuelsson on "food and the changing face of Harlem" at Shinola's Tribeca outpost. Panelists also included Shoots & Roots bitters Partners Rachel Meyer and Ashley Duval, as well as Hot Bread Kitchen founder Jessamyn Rodriguez, who, with Samuelsson, are making a large impact on Harlem's food scene and the quickly evolving community that surrounds. Guests included the Studio Museum in Harlem's director Thelma Golden and Paper's editor-in-chief, Kim Hastreiter. Check out photos from the evening below, which featured a delicious fried chicken and treats from Red Rooster, wine from Dark Horse and beer from Harlem Brewing Company.
