Marc Jacobs' Guilty Pleasure

 By Special Correspondent SNOWBIRD

While chilling at the South Beach branch of Madiba restaurant, we walked outside for a puff and the Snowbird almost fainted when told that Marc Jacobs (yes, that one) had purchased the building across the street and that it was to become Jacobs' second stand-alone Florida retail outlet. The address, 1801 Bay Road, may ring a bell to our music trivia inclined readers. It was the former sight of the Bee Gees' Middle Ear Studio. After the death of brother Maurice, Barry explained the sale: "It's difficult for me to work whenever I'm in this room...I think of all three of us. There's just too many memories." If you feel yourself humming "Guilty" while shopping for some trendy threads, you'll know why.
