Lana Del Rey has always been a pretty enigmatic artist, shrouding herself in the mystery of a persona that seems equal parts completely manufactured and totally authentic. In a new series of eight videos, Del Rey shared a behind-the-scenes look at her Lust For Life recording sessions. In one, she shares how she made her already distinct voice sound even more unusual and distant on her "Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems" duet with Stevie Nicks.

"I stacked up my [six] chorus vocals through thin white paper to give it a muted quality," she wrote. "I like to play with distance and buffers around the mic for every song depending on what the mood is."

Super cool, and the queen of sad goddesses shared plenty more, including the writing of "Change":
