In Los Angeles everyone talks about the traffic, but author Ray Bradbury has a plan that could actually do something about it. The situation has gotten so bad that people are increasingly opting to stay at home rather than make a cross-town trek, once taking a half hour, now anywhere from 1-3 hours. Bradbury, author of sci-fi classics Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451, says a monorail system is the way to go for LA. Though Pres. Bush talked about conserving energy, he somehow neglected the development of mass transit -- and a viable railroad -- as a gas guzzling alternative.
