Kim Kardashian is responding to critics accusing her family of not donating to help fight the Australian wildfires.
In the midst of the ongoing fires — which have left 24 dead, burned millions of acres, and killed an estimated half a billion animals — Kim took to her Instagram stories to encourage people to help in any way they could. Granted, more than a few commenters apparently took the silence surrounding her own contributions as a reason to be skeptical about her family's intentions.
Last night, Kim caught wind of the online negativity and responded to a since-deleted tweet alleging that the Kardashians hadn't helped fight the ongoing fires by writing, "nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything."

Not only that, but Kim then went on to retweet Khloé's post about "good deeds" and how they "should be done with intention and not for attention."
"We are all blessed to be able to bless others even if it is in the slightest way," Khloé continued. "But we do not need to be boastful about that. Be boastful in regards to teaching others how they may be able to help as well."

Khloé also followed up that tweet by adding that the family often brings "attention to causes and ways you can donate," before pointing out that the family frequently uses their platform to boost climate change-focused organizations and "bring awareness to situations so we all can help as a human race."

And while many agreed with Kim's statement, her and Khloé's comments also appear to have sparked another discussion about their family's contribution to climate change thanks to their seemingly lavish lifestyle.
"Given the private jets and endless consumption etc, an individual Kardashian probably has a carbon footprint literally 1000s of times larger than the average American," as one person wrote, "Which makes them literally the biggest individual polluters in the world, telling us climate change is real."

Meanwhile, others responded by arguing that it would be better for these causes if the Kardashians did publicize their donations, as it may inspire their fans to do the same.
