Sometimes the best tactic to really bring it with lip syncing or karaoke is to physically interpret the lyrics. If a song mentions waiting, you tap your foot and glance at your watch. If it talks about hope, you clutch your hand to your heart and look upward. For better or worse, Justin Bieber uses this strategy to perform Ozzy Osbourne's 1980 hit "Crazy Train" on an upcoming episode of Lip Sync Battle on Spike TV -- a spin-off of the Tonight Show game in which celebrities compete to be the best sync-er. In this clip above, Bieber makes his eyes crazy because the song is about going off the rails on a crazy train, get it? It makes sense, sure, but it's terrifying. In Bieber's defense, there's not a lot of compelling source material online to work with here: the video for this song is just an '80s computer-animated Flying V guitar zooming down a railroad track and, even at this point, Ozzy was already in checked-out shuffling mode for live performances. Bieber needed to deliver, and this was the only, brain-scarring way he knew how.
And, if you missed it earlier this week, here's a preview of Anne Hathaway's slam-dunk rendition of "Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" from tomorrow night's episode.
