Today in strange, yet incredible news, it turns out Justin Bieber is related to two other Canadian celebrity icons — namely Ryan Gosling and Avril Lavigne.
That's right, according to the Ancestry.com results he posted to his Instagram, it appears as if the Biebs is distantly related to Lavigne and Gosling.

Again, emphasis on the "distantly," as Lavigne is his "12th cousin" and Gosling is his "11th cousin 1x removed" — all descended from Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Biré. That said, Bieber said the discovery still made it, "the best of day of my life."
Even better? Lavigne is also super stoked on the revelation, if her response to his post is any indication.
"I'll host Christmas dinner this year," she wrote, alongside a bunch of Christmas-related emojis and a Canadian flag.
Needless to say, we'll keep our eyes peeled for those family pics.
