Before the weather got miserable in New York, Pitchfork TV managed to corral disco-sensation (and the love of every partier's life) Hercules and Love Affair on to a Williamsburg rooftop for a mind-blowing mini-concert. Matched up with a two-person horn section, keyboardist, songwriter/producer/brain-behind-it-all Andrew Butler, drummer, bassist and extreme-Voguer Shayne Oliver (check him out in this month's PAPER style story!), singers Nomi Ruiz and Kim Ann Foxman seduced the hell out of the cameras and the crowd. I'm going to avoid making this a spoiler and just say that their live performance gave me night fevers and the magic-hour lighting made for a stellar backdrop.
Hercules and Love Affair will serve as the last installment of Pitchfork TV's "Don't Look Down" series and should be up online sometime in mid-December.
