Watch the Full-Length Trailer for New 'Heathers' Reboot

The 1988 cult classic Heathers has been reimagined as a new, "woke" TV series set to premiere in March. The original catty, whitewashed girl gang will be replaced with a more diverse, equally vicious, crew: Heather Chandler (Melanie Field), Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell), and Heather McNamara (Jasmine Matthews).

We've seen exciting 30-second sneak peaks, but today we saw the full-length trailer. And while it's not without its cringe-worthy moments — an older man is surprised to learn "fat kids can be popular," to which his colleague replies, "the preferred term is body-positive" — the one-liners and cast of excellent newcomers (and Selma Blair) will make it a worthy watch.

"The idea is that power corrupts and that everyone is at their core an asshole and concerned for themselves," Scannell, who plays Heather Duke, said in a panel. "In the movie, three beautiful women where wrecking havoc on the school; that was new and hadn't been done before. Our modern retelling centers around marginalized communities – a plus-size, a black girl, and a queer – trashing everyone around them."
