Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Her Fiancé Are Back Together

UPDATE 8/28/19: It appears as if Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her fiancé Ken have changed their minds about calling off their engagement. According to E! News, just one day after announcing their split, Blanchard's stepmother, Kristy, says that the couple is back together — though they are "taking things slow."

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has reportedly called off her engagement to her fiancé, Ken.

E! Newsreports that the couple split in order to take "some time apart to focus on themselves as individuals," per a source.

"The two were planning to get married in January while Gypsy is still in prison, but they have now cancelled those plans," the insider told the publication, before adding, "Both Gypsy and Ken are brokenhearted over the situation and still have nothing but love for each other."

The couple initially got engaged in April after meeting through a prison pen pal program. According to Blanchard's family friend, Fancy Macelli, they all met Ken for the first time in March.

"Gypsy and Ken are making plans to build a life together once she is released," Macelli previously told E!. "Everyone had fun getting to know each other over a pot of Gypsy's father's famous gumbo."

Gypsy is currently serving a 10-year sentence for the 2015 murder for her mother, Dee Dee. Her story is the inspiration behind Hulu's The Act.
