Fashion Girls for Japan, a shopping benefit of epic proportions, is taking over The Bowery Hotel this weekend. Sixty-plus designers have each donated a rolling rack of wares to this sale, where a whopping 100 percent of proceeds will benefit Japan's Society's Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, The Red Cross, and The NYC's Japan Earthquake Tsunami Fund. The aforementioned "Fashion Girls" who spearheaded this two-day sale are Kyoko Kageyama of 3.1 Phillip Lim, who was in Japan for the devastating earthquake and tsunami, along with Kikka Hanazawa (the president of VPL) and Tomoko Ogura (the fashion director the Women's Co-op at Barneys), with special support from fashion consultant Julie Gilhart and Stella Ishii from The News showroom. With discounts starting at 50 percent off from designers like Alice & Olivia, Alexander Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rachel Comey, Steve Alan, Rag & Bone, Altuzarra, Thakoon and many, many more, along with a handful of cool DJs spinning music while you shop, this promises to be quite the event. Tickets are only $5, and if you can't make the sale, go ahead and head to their site to put a little cash towards a great cause. The Bowery Hotel, 335 Bowery. April 2nd, 11 a.m.-7 p.m and April 3rd, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $5.
