Etro Had One of the Most Memorable Finales in Milan

At Etro's Spring 2020 show in Milan, a parade of models emerged at the finale barefoot, strutting across the wooden boardwalk in paisley jeans and oversized crisp men's shirts. The term "boyfriend jeans" and "boyfriend shirts" gets tossed around a lot, but Etro is making a strong case for borrowing from the guys this season, with modern details (enlarged cuffs) and styling cues (tucked in slightly) feeling very of-the-moment. What preceded the finale was a lineup of the brand's signature bohemian, '70s flair and rich fabrications. Here's everything else you need to know about the collection.

Classic Men's Shirts

The finale had models come out barefoot in nothing but jeans and classic men's shirts in office-ready stripes and monograms. They weren't super big, but they did have a slouchy feel that gave them a relaxed twist thanks to the rolled up sleeves and the buttons that were left open.

Floppy Hats

Giant floppy hats with frayed straw edges conjure a Western sensibility with a bohemian flair.

Relaxed Tailoring

Single-breasted suits cut rather loose in the leg were rendered in the brand's signature paisley prints or pure white.

Cinch It In

The flowy dresses and shapeless jackets provided the perfect opportunity for a cinched waist with the help of giant belts with big metal buckles.

Crimson Red

Whether you prefer the term maroon, crimson, oxblood, or burgundy, the deep red shade was a popular color choice across all styles.
