Liam Hemsworth's sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, is making it clear where she stands in terms of his breakup with Miley Cyrus known.
Though Elsa and Miley used to be close, the former appears to be less than pleased with the way Liam's been treated. In a new interview with Hola!, Elsa opened up about how he's been doing post-split and even went so far as to say that "he deserves much better."
"After a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he's a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better," Elsa said, in response to a question about Liam and Miley. "You always find support in your family, and he's joined at the hip with his brother, who has been there to give all the strength he needed."
Elsa — who's been married to Liam's older brother, Chris, since 2010 — also revealed that he's been spending a lot of time with them since the couple's split this past August.
But what does Liam think? Well, for his part, the star has kept things very quiet — opting to only release one farewell post about the situation in the wake of their separation.
"Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward," Hemsworth wrote on his Instagram. "This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love."
