Some celebrity fashion and beauty lines seem a little too opportunistic. Like, just because Rihanna and Kylie Jenner are doing it, doesn't mean I want to buy an eye palette from every famous person on my Instagram feed. You know who can take all my money, though? Country superstar and style icon Dolly Parton.
Parton signed a deal with IMG to develop her own fashion line earlier this year, and in a new interview with Elleshe revealed that the collection will include replicas of her signature wigs. "It's one of my dreams — the makeup, hair, and wigs, clothes, all of that sort of thing," she explained.
The higher the hair, the closer to God! The timing is right for a Dolly Parton wig line, given the resurgence of Yeehaw style cues over the past two years. And for the cynics out there, Parton pointed out that wigs not only look great, but save time. "Wigs are just so handy," Parton said. "I'm so busy, and I have so many choices. I never have a bad hair day, and that's a good thing."
She generously provided some advice for those of us who want to rock a beehive, but don't have the money to invest in pricey pieces. "I don't always wear [wigs] in my daily life, but I always still pouf up my hair," she said. "I still like to have that flashy hair. When I'm around home, I wear my little scrunchies, but I always put on some makeup and fix my own hair as cute as I can fix it."
Beauty tips from Parton are always solid. In an interview with The New York Timesearlier this year, Parton confessed she literally never takes off her makeup before bed. "I clean my face in the mornings," she said. "You never know if you're going to wreck the bus, you never know if you're going to be somewhere in a hotel and there's going to be a fire. So I leave my makeup on at night and clean my face in the morning."
