Deerhunter Live at the Apple Store SoHo!

Last night, Deerhunter promoted their new kick ass album, Halycon Digest with a quick (and free!) show at SoHo's Apple Store. For the diehard fans, wristbands were distributed yesterday at 10 am. For the rest of us who were unable to get these bands -- because we were busy doing that thing called our jobs -- there was a standing area upstairs with television screens and some pretty impressive acoustics. Bradford Cox (and his skinny little self!) sounded stellar, and although the eight song set list was a major tease, it was the perfect sneak peek for Deerhunter's show at Webster Hall on October 15th. Halycon Digest has already garnered major buzz after the early release of the shimmery-sweet pop jam "Revival" and the beautifully emotional "Helicopter." Last night proved that the rest of the band's newly debuted songs are perhaps superior than previously anticipated, in their incorporation of gorgeous textures, youthful energy and all other kinds of musical goodness.
