Christoph Niemann, illustrator and author of the New York Times magazine column Abstract Sunday, ran in the New York City Marathon yesterday and impressively sketched the entire thing while he was running. Niemann tweeted all of his drawings for real-time coverage, documenting the emotional highs and lows (and banana delivery from kindly strangers) that come with jogging 26.2 miles. TWENTY-SIX POINT TWO MILES. Anyone who ran yesterday is a champ in our book, because, honestly, we would have vomited and passed out like a 3/4 of a mile in, making Neimann's live-sketching all the more impressive. Check out all of Neimann's tweets in the gallery above.
