Santa's Party House (which for the record, is officially called neither Santos Party House nor Santos' Party House nor Santo's Party House) is without a doubt the best Party House in town. The Lafayette Street bi-level club, since opening this past spring, has consistently been turning out some of New York's best parties -- from Nicky Siano's sick Sunday night residency, to Q-Tip and Rich Medina's Friday night shindig to DFA's Wednesday night Special Disco Version to one-off nights with 2 Live Crew, The Virgins, ESG, Gang Gang Dance and many, many others. It's all honestly kind of mind-blowing. Which is why we are smuggling Santa's boys Andrew W.K., Spencer Sweeney, Ron Castellano and Derek Ferguson into our carry-ons and bringing them with us to Los Angeles for PAPER's fourth annual L.A. Project. On Wednesday, Nov. 5, they'll help us throw our opening night party. Says co-owner Spencer Sweeney, "I think Andrew W.K. is going to be doing a multimedia free-form inspirational performance, I'm going to play some records and we'll have a party." Meanwhile, the Santa's crew is nominated for a PAPER Nightlife Award in the People's Choice category. So, Spencer, any words for the still undecided voters? "Vote for Santa."
