Celebrating Pride and #ExpressLove in San Diego

Last night at Trust in the Hillcrest neighborhood, the hub of San Diego's LGBTQ community, some of the city's finest and most fabulous gathered to celebrate Pride and American Express's #ExpressLove campaign. Over cocktails and rainbow-themed snacks, local notables like Joe Kraft and Matt Ramon, who own the Mo's Universe group of restaurants and bars, mingled with other familiar faces, like Vine/YouTube star Chad Perez and musician Heather Bright, who will perform at Pride. American Express's non-profit partner in San Diego, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, was also on hand. Director of Public Affairs, Rebekah Hook-Held and Development Associate, Tyler Renner spoke about some of the Center's initiatives, including #BetheGeneration, which aims to end new HIV cases in the city by 2024, and their plan to build LGBT-affirming senior housing with Community HousingWorks—a project that broke ground just days ago. Check out the slideshow below for scenes from the evening.
