Last night at Trust in the Hillcrest neighborhood, the hub of San Diego's LGBTQ community, some of the city's finest and most fabulous gathered to celebrate Pride and American Express's #ExpressLove campaign. Over cocktails and rainbow-themed snacks, local notables like Joe Kraft and Matt Ramon, who own the Mo's Universe group of restaurants and bars, mingled with other familiar faces, like Vine/YouTube star Chad Perez and musician Heather Bright, who will perform at Pride. American Express's non-profit partner in San Diego, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, was also on hand. Director of Public Affairs, Rebekah Hook-Held and Development Associate, Tyler Renner spoke about some of the Center's initiatives, including #BetheGeneration, which aims to end new HIV cases in the city by 2024, and their plan to build LGBT-affirming senior housing with Community HousingWorks—a project that broke ground just days ago.
