Bill Cunningham, the legendary New York Times photographer and subject of the 2010 documentary Bill Cunningham New York is in the hospital recovering from a stroke, according to Page Six.

Cunningham has been an icon and a fixture for the fashion crowd, tireless in his commitment to get the shot and document what people are wearing. He's often seen, rain or shine, at 57th St and Fifth Avenue capturing the sartorial news of that great NYC crossroad. The videos he makes for the Times that animate his weekly Times column are truly the most important reporting on fashion going on today.

A spokesperson for the Times told Page Six, "Bill's family and senior editors from the Times have been in regular contact with him. We believe that his recovery will be quick."

We wish him a full and speedy recovery.
