The New York Post has reported that Tim Burton's iconic 1988 film, Beetlejuice, will be adapted as a Broadway musical for the winter 2018-2019 season. Alex Timbers, who created the Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle with Gael Garcia Bernal, will be direct the show.

Timbers also directed David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's popular rock musical Here Lies Love, and recently made headlines for not directing the upcoming Broadway version of every nine-year-old's favorite Disney movie, Frozen.

We can only pray for a Winona Ryder cameo (though we'd settle for grumpy New Yorker Alec Baldwin).
